Thirteen Viz titles named in "The Top 25 Translated-To-English Manga of All Time"
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - November 28, 2001 - Viz Communications, Inc. was the leading publisher in "The Top 25 Translated-To-English Manga of All Time." Featured in the premiere Winter 2002 issue of Wizard Entertainment's Anime Invasion magazine, the list ranks the top English-language titles based on content and includes manga from the 1970s to the present day.
Viz titles account for thirteen of the twenty-five listed, dominating the list and solidifying Viz's position as the leading U.S. publisher of manga in the industry and among fans. Of those chosen, following is a list of the featured Viz titles in ascending order:
- Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind by Hayao Miyazaki
- Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama
- Adolf: A Tale of the Twentieth Century by Osamu Tezuka
- Neon Genesis Evangelion by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto
- Eagle: The Making of an Asian-American President by Kaiji Kawaguchi
- Inu-Yasha by Rumiko Takahashi

- Ranma 1/2 by Rumiko Takahashi
