Animerica Magazine, America's Leading Source for Anime and Manga, to Attend Summer Conventions

June 12, 2003 (San Francisco, CA) – The foremost and authoritative national magazine covering anime and manga will be attending this year’s anime conventions. ANIMERICA Magazine, winner of the SPJA Award for “Best Anime Publication” nine years in a row (1993-2002), will be on hand in a unique booth to give convention attendees the opportunity to meet the ANIMERICA staff and receive a free T-shirt for subscribing to the publication. ANIMERICA is also sponsoring the Anime Expo program guide, with original content created exclusively for the convention.

ANIMERICA Magazine is scheduled to attend three conventions this summer:

  • Anime Expo – Anaheim Convention Center, July 3-July 6
  • Comic-Con International – San Diego Convention Center, July 17-July 20
  • Otakon – Baltimore Convention Center, August 8-August 10

ANIMERICA Magazine staff will be in a booth at all three anime conventions. At the Otakon convention, attendees will have the opportunity to meet the publication’s editor-in-chief, Julie Davis. Davis is considered to be a leading voice in the field of Japanese manga and anime and will be available for interviews. Davis can give the media and attendees the latest trends and “what’s new and hot” in manga and anime coming from Japan.
